Location: Belper, DE56
Pay: 100 - 110 per day
Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent placement
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Long Term Futures are seeking to appoint a compassionate and enthusiastic Pastoral Assistant to join a thriving secondary school located in Derby, DE56.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess a strong desire to make a positive impact in their lives. They will also be the key point of contact for pupils, staff and parents/carers in relation to pupil behaviour and barriers to learning.
With a strong focus on personal development and academic achievement, this school is passionate about ensuring the very best learning experience for all their pupils.
Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils in their learning and encourage positive attitudes and behaviour in and around school by being available throughout the day.
* Help de-escalate high risk situations and challenging behaviour.
* Build a positive rapport with students & staff whilst promoting positive behaviour and engagement in school life.
* Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
* All candidates must have experience in an educational setting.
* Calm and confident in managing challenging situations.
* Strong communication and able to both independently and as part of a team.
* Building strong rapport with both students and staff and being relatable.
