Hours of work will be 9:30pm - 6pm (but there is some flexibility)
As the Maintenance Technician you will be required to assist in the overall maintenance of the site by ensuring that all the buildings and grounds are kept in good order and fit for purpose.
The role will cover a wide variety of maintenance duties such as :
- general maintenance and repairs to the main building and associated buildings
- planned maintenance and project work on services, utilities and the building fabric
- regular inspections
- recording of all the day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken onto a PC
- reporting defects, damages and malfunctions to the Manager
- ensuring all emergencies are dealt with speedily and effectively, including being a key holder for the site
- order stock
You will need:
- experience of working within a school/college/care setting - desirable, not essential
- to be multi-skilled
- general maintenance knowledge, basic tasks related to joinery and plumbing.
- knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations
- understanding of hot & cold water systems
- to travel so you need to be able to drive
- to be able to work independently and the ability to use your own initiative
