We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining the integrity and functionality of our facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for staff and students. The ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled tradesperson with a strong emphasis on health and safety.
Day-to-day of the role:- Carry out repairs and maintenance to a high standard in a proactive approach.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all areas.
- Maintain records of all day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken.
- Comply with all health and safety policies while performing maintenance functions.
- Report defects, damages, and malfunctions.
- Carry out regular planned maintenance inspections on services, utilities, and the building fabric, report findings, and take necessary actions.
- Handle emergencies effectively, including being a key holder for the site.
- Promote and maximise the security of the premises.
- Experience in a maintenance role, with experience in an educational setting being desirable but not essential.
- Multi-skilled in various trades with general maintenance knowledge, including basic tasks related to joinery and plumbing.
- Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations.
- Understanding of hot & cold water systems.
- Good working trade practices.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Capable of physical work and some lone working; must have the ability to drive.
- Availability for emergency call-outs, recompensed in agreement with management.
