We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Site Manager to join a leading nationwide housebuilder. The role is based on an exciting residential development project in Norfolk, involving the construction of high-quality traditional brick and block homes. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth progress of construction activities.
- Supervise sub-contractors and trades, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor progress against the project schedule, addressing any potential delays or issues promptly.
- Conduct regular quality checks on completed works, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Enforce health and safety policies on-site, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and quality inspections.
- Support the Site Manager in client and consultant interactions, attending progress meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally working on traditional brick and block housing projects.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations and health and safety legislation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain them).
- Full UK driving license.
