Are you looking to take the next step in your finance career?

We are seeking a talented Management Accountant to join a reputable business. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts, working closely with the operations team and key stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for the assigned business, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, collaborating with all relevant stakeholders to maintain clarity and accuracy on all balance sheet items.
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of transactional entries, working closely with sales and purchase ledger teams.
  • Monitor sales invoicing and credit control to ensure the timely processing of invoices and collections, addressing any issues within the business unit.
  • Ensure the timely filing and payment of all taxes, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with third-party advisors, often overseas, to ensure tax compliance and assist with preparing annual financial statements and tax returns.
  • Act as the primary contact during the year-end audit process, providing necessary support and documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with operational and commercial counterparts, offering support on pricing decisions.
  • Contribute positively to the day-to-day operations of the business unit and support key business functions.
  • Continuously review and refine financial procedures to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Occasionally travel overseas to provide financial support and maintain a presence at international locations.
  • Contribute to various ad hoc projects as requested by the senior finance team.

Key Requirements:

  • Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent), with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance role.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues across all levels of the business.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and flexible approach to work, with a 'can-do' attitude.
