Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a major modular construction company in their search for a Commercial Manager.
Based in East Yorkshire with hybrid working, this is a key role to manage a commercial team that deliver on post-delivery commercial contracts for rental modular buildings.
As Commercial Manager you will be responsible for maintaining cashflow, maximising margins and delivering final accounts.
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for:Â
- Managing a team of commercial staff
- Developing and training the team to provide career advancement and to deliver successful financial outcomes.
- Ensuring payment plans are in place and adhered to to maintain cashflow
- Negotiating financial accounts and resolving disputes
- Regularly review and manage risks and mitigations
- Ensuring costs and margins are closely measured on each project
- Attending client meetings to ensure the appropriate resources and payment plans are in place.
The Commercial Manager will need:Â
- Commercial management experience with a Quantity Surveying background
- Degree qualification in a commercial or equivalent subject
- Strong people management skills and experience
- Good communication and customer facing skills
- A good understanding of the construction industry and contracts
