Maths Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Maths Teacher to work at a secondary school in Pocklington, starting ASAP and lasting until at least December 2024. This is a temporary position, that may be extended in the future. Payment for this position will be in line with the main teaching pay scale (up to M6), meaning a daily rate payment of between £162.31 and £223.62 per day. There may be potential for part time hours in this role too, so part time applicants are encouraged to apply for this role. This is to cover a period of sickness absence, so the exact length of the contract is difficult to establish at this time.

This role will involve teaching Maths to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, and will involve an element of planning and marking, meaning that a Maths specialist is required for this position. There is a large amount of resources already on file however, making the planning requirements minimal for the role.

Located in Pocklington, the school is easy to access via car from Hull, Beverley, York, Driffield and the surrounding areas. There is an onsite car park that is free to use, and spaces are almost always available. There is an extremely experienced and effective head of department that ensures that a throughout handover and induction is provided to temporary staff members, leaving you feeling welcome and supported from the first day in the role.

  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience supporting within UK schools
  • Has experience teaching Maths to KS4 students
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
