Skills Coach - Brickwork

Salary: £30,411

Hours: 37 per week

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Engineering Skills Coach to join one of our supporting Colleges. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and training to students pursuing careers in construction. This role requires both theoretical and practical instruction to ensure students gain the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the field.

What you will be responsible for

  • Coaching, mentoring, and assessing learners on apprenticeship programmes across various sites - from the classroom to the real-world workplace.
  • Using our cutting-edge e-portfolio system to track and monitor apprentice progress, ensuring they're ready to pass their End Point Assessment and hit the ground running in their careers.
  • Embedding maths and English into practical learning, ensuring apprentices leave with all the tools they need to succeed.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with employers to ensure apprenticeships run smoothly, with all parties aligned to deliver top-quality training.
  • Collaborating with your team to shape, promote, and deliver high-quality programmes that set learners up for success in their field.

What you will need

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification or above in brickwork or a similar occupational area.
  • Assessor qualifications or a willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience in the brickwork industry, with a passion for sharing your knowledge with the next generation.
  • Strong IT skills and an ability to manage online learning systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to travel as needed to support learners and employers.
