Production Engineer

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a talented Production Engineer to join our client's team in Kidderminster, UK. As a Production Engineer, you will provide essential engineering support and information to our production departments, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support production departments with technical drawings using Solidworks/AutoCAD.
- Work with production to improve processes and efficiency.
- Use mechanical design techniques to stress test components and assemblies using Solidworks.
- Create and modify 3D assemblies to meet customer and production needs.
- Design new parts and solutions to solve build issues.
- Support 3rd party manufacturing suppliers with spec and build queries.
- Assist the Engineering Manager on ongoing and new projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Mechanical Engineering qualification(s) is essential.
- Minimum 1-year commercial experience.
- Working knowledge of Solidworks is essential.
- Good organisational, time management, and administration skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to follow projects through to conclusions.
- AutoCAD 2D knowledge is advantageous.
- Understanding of auto-electrics, hydraulics, and chassis is beneficial.
Benefits:
- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Basic hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm).
