Production Engineer

Are you a skilled Production Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to advance your career? Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a talented Production Engineer to join our client's team in Kidderminster, UK. As a Production Engineer, you will provide essential engineering support and information to our production departments, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support production departments with technical drawings using Solidworks/AutoCAD.
  • Work with production to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Use mechanical design techniques to stress test components and assemblies using Solidworks.
  • Create and modify 3D assemblies to meet customer and production needs.
  • Design new parts and solutions to solve build issues.
  • Support 3rd party manufacturing suppliers with spec and build queries.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager on ongoing and new projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification(s) is essential.
  • Minimum 1-year commercial experience.
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks is essential.
  • Good organisational, time management, and administration skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to follow projects through to conclusions.
  • AutoCAD 2D knowledge is advantageous.
  • Understanding of auto-electrics, hydraulics, and chassis is beneficial.

Benefits:

  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Basic hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm).
