About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate Employment Advisor to join the Economic Development and Skills team at the London Borough of Bexley. In this role, you will support job seekers facing barriers to employment, helping them secure sustainable work through tailored advice, guidance, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

-Manage a caseload of job seekers, providing support with CVs, job applications, and interview techniques.-Develop and maintain action plans to help clients achieve employment and personal development goals.-Offer one-to-one coaching and deliver employability workshops.-Work closely with employers, partners, and local agencies to identify job opportunities and recruitment needs.-Ensure accurate records of client progress and outcomes are maintained.-Organise and participate in job fairs, outreach events, and employer open days.

What We're Looking For:

-Experience in employment support, recruitment, or careers guidance.-Strong knowledge of employability programs, government initiatives, and supported employment models (IPS & SEQF).-Excellent communication and motivational skills to support job seekers effectively.-Ability to build partnerships with employers and stakeholders.-Strong administrative and organisational skills, with experience in case management.
