Higher Learning Teaching Assistant | Bexley (DA18) | 110- 130 per day | Full Time | ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their exceptional team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about SEN education and looking to grow their career in a nurturing, forward-thinking environment.

About the Role:

The purpose of the HLTA is to support the children with their learning and general wellbeing and to ensure every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment

  • Support students in their learning, establishing productive working relationships and providing feedback
  • Support teachers by teaching groups of students, planning lessons and administering and marking tests
  • Support the curriculum by delivering learning activities in line with local and national learning strategies, and selecting and preparing resources necessary to lead learning activity

About You:

  • Proven experience working with children, including those with additional needs, and delivering targeted literacy and recovery programs.
  • Holds relevant A-level (NQF Level 3) and NVQ Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths; additional subject-specific or specialist qualifications preferred.
  • Has met, or demonstrates strong potential to meet, Higher-Level Teaching Assistant standards within 6 months of starting the role.
  • Evidence of subject specialism and familiarity with specific learning difficulties or curriculum areas.
  • Completed training in relevant learning strategies, such as literacy interventions.
