Are you a Youth support worker looking for a new full time role? Or do you enjoy the challenge of helping young people engage in education and develop their social skills?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for experienced Youth Support workers to work in schools and alternative provisions in the borough of Bexley. The majority of roles are full time, long-term roles with opportunities to secure permanent salaried positions.

The role:

  • Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Helping students manage their behaviour
  • Helping students gain a better understanding of their emotions
  • Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
  • Working as key player within the support network
  • Celebrating every success!

As a Youth support worker you will need:

  • Experience of supporting children/young people with SEMH
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • To be open-minded and have a positive and supportive approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK
