This is an exciting opportunity immediately available Accountant to join an established business in Bicester on a temporary basis to start as soon as possible. This is a standalone role so please note that you must be comfortable working independently rather than within a large team. The company will consider part and full time applicants.

They have lots of on-going projects and both in the UK and overseas and the role will be varied, so this is an exciting time to join them and get stuck into something new! The company have on-site parking and there is potential that you could be considered for a permanent position after the temporary period.

Description

The Accountant will:

  • Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner
  • Process payroll accurately and on time for all staff
  • Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and other creditors
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure receivables are collected promptly
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure all payments and transactions are recorded accurately
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records, ensuring that the books are balanced
  • Create and manage rent statements for tenants, ensuring any rent owed is chased up
  • Produce rental statements on a weekly basis
  • Prepare financial reports as required by management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as needed

Profile

The Accountant will be/have:

  • Experience in a similar accounting or finance role
  • Able to work independently and take full responsibility for the payroll and accounting within the company
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and processes
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
