Our client based in Kidlington is a well-established general practice accountancy firm that offers a broad range of accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client base. Their clients include small, medium and large-sized businesses, as well as individuals and partnerships across various industries. The firm prides itself on delivering exceptional client service and practical financial solutions.

Due to recent growth and promotions, they are now looking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to their growing and experienced team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervising work on a varied client portfolio consisting mainly of companies, including partnerships, sole traders and personal tax clients. This will include overseeing client deadlines and helping the team to prioritise their workload
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 102 and IFRS
  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts, bookkeeping services, VAT returns and corporation tax returns
  • Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns
  • Providing tailored business advice and consultancy services to help clients with tax planning, financial strategy, business growth and restructuring
  • Developing relationships with new and existing clients, becoming a regular point of contact for their needs
  • Assisting with the training and development of juniors
  • Utilising accounting software and staying up to date with advancements in accounting technologies
  • Identifying opportunities to improve internal processes, drive efficiencies, and enhance client service

Previous Experience/Qualifications:

  • Suitable candidates will have previous practice experience and be either ACCA or ACA-qualified with a broad knowledge of accounts and tax.
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience with a strong understanding of UK accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Must be able to communicate with people at all levels, have a desire to progress and strive to deliver an excellent service to all clients.

Additional Information:

  • Please note this is a full-time, permanent role working Monday - Friday with flexible start and finish times and a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.
