Description
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger and financial reporting.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Perform monthly and quarterly assessment and forecast of organisation's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal financial controls.
- Coordinate audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage financial standard setting and forecast process.
- Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
- Adhere to current laws and regulations.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- An accredited degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional certification (e.g. CIMA or ACCA).
- Profound knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.).
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
- Working knowledge of financial software.
- Understanding of business principles and practices.
- Superior attention to detail.
