An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ACCA / ICAEW qualified Senior Practice Accountant to join a well-established accountancy practice. This role can be full-time or part-time offering excellent benefits and a salary range of £40,000 - £55,000.

As a Senior Practice Accountant, you will be managing a portfolio of clients, including reviewing and preparing annual accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns, management accounts.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading client meetings to review financial performance and uncover tax planning opportunities.
  • Recognising and recommending additional services to clients.
  • Providing tailored business advice to support client goals.
  • Overseeing and mentoring junior team members, fostering their development.
  • Supporting business development initiatives to attract and retain clients.
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and compliance to offer informed advice.

What we are looking for:

  • Previously worked as a Practice Accountant, Senior Accountant, Accounts Senior, Accountant, Accounts Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Experience in a general accountancy practice, working with a range of client sizes and industries.
  • ACCA or ICAEW qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts, and tax compliance.
  • Skilled in software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
