The company operates nationally enhancing the appearance of public and private outdoor areas. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will play a crucial role in managing the sales ledger and assisting with managed accounts. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business in the local area, and we are particularly interested in candidates with a similar background and who have started their AAT qualifications  Key Responsibilities 
  • Process sales invoices accurately.
  • Set up new client accounts.
  • Manage and monitor the sales admin inbox.
  • Support Depot Managers with debt collection.
  • Provide cover for the Purchase Ledger department when needed.
  • Reconcile daily bank statements.
  • Assist with month-end journal processing.
  • Support reconciliation of work in progress and control accounts.
  • Help prepare monthly P&L reports.
  • Participate in monthly Depot accounts meetings.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
 Key Skills & Experience 
  • Previous accounting/Finance experience is essential.
  • Qualification or Part Qualified in AAT or similar courses.
  • Previous experience in working to deadlines.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages - Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Committed team player.
  • Adaptable and Willingness to learn.
  • MUST HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE.
 Additional Information 
  • Working Monday to Friday, 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Company Pension ( 5%/3%).
