Our ClientOur client is a high-growth private equity backed organisation with multiple sites across the UK. Due to multiple acquisitions over the past three years and excellent organic growth, our client wants to strengthen their IT infrastructure team to support planned future growth.The RoleThe Head of Technology Infrastructure and Support will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of our organisation’s technology infrastructure and support frameworks. This role includes overseeing key contracts with service providers, enhancing the user experience, maintaining connectivity across all locations, planning for future capacity, ensuring effective device and licence management, and leading cybersecurity initiatives.This position requires a proactive leader with a background in managing multiple sites for an organisation, experience in managing outsourced technology providers, and a commitment to ensuring a high-quality user experience across the organisation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor and Contract Management: Oversee relationships with managed service providers, ensuring service quality, compliance with contracts, and continuous performance improvements.
  • Technology Support Coordination: Act as the primary contact between the organisation and external providers, addressing technology support needs and managing feedback to enhance user satisfaction.
  • Network and Communication Systems: Ensure stability, security, and scalability of data, voice, and mobile communication networks, managing contracts with network and telecommunications providers.
  • Capacity and Infrastructure Planning: Lead future planning for infrastructure capacity, system upgrades, and alignment with physical space needs to support organisational growth.
  • Device and Licence Management: Oversee the management of devices, licences, and access permissions, ensuring employees have the necessary tools for their roles.
  • Cybersecurity Leadership: Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, managing third-party security providers to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Procurement and Supplier Oversight: Manage technology procurement and supplier contracts, focusing on value, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Strategic Budgeting and Senior Leadership: Track and prioritise technology budgets, provide strategic updates to the executive team, and collaborate across departments to ensure organisational alignment.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in managing outsourced technology support.
  • Proven responsibility for IT infrastructure in a large, multi-site organisation.
  • Experience in procurement and contract management across multiple vendors.
  • Track record in cybersecurity governance.
  • Experience with programme management within a changing and growth-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of data and telecommunication infrastructure management and vendor oversight.
