- Provide an Occupational Health Advisory Service, triaging management referrals and determining appropriate assessments (face-to-face, phone, mental health support, etc.).
- Assess fitness for role in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Health & Safety Regulations, and police-specific guidelines.
- Conduct health assessments for staff and officers, advising on adjustments and attending Adjusted Duties Categorisation Meetings.
- Oversee pre-placement health screening for new officers, transferees, PCSOs, and volunteers.
- Deliver medical consultancy on occupational health issues, infectious diseases, and health promotion.
- Administer vaccinations and blood samples in line with Patient Group Directives (PGD).
- Assist in the development of occupational health policies and procedures.
- Maintain continuous professional development (CPD) in line with NMC revalidation.
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health Nursing.
- Proven experience in an Occupational Health environment, with strong emotional and psychological resilience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with officers, HR, and senior management.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to different locations as required.
