We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations during the day. Reporting to the Depot General Manager, this role is crucial in ensuring that our warehouse operates at peak efficiency. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, with a strong focus on team development and meeting departmental and depot targets.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead and manage the day-to-day logistics operation.
- Oversee warehouse goods in management, managing a stock portfolio.
- Handle warehouse stock replenishment, averaging 350 daily replenishments.
- Ensure deliveries are offloaded efficiently and in a timely fashion.
- Coach, lead, and develop all members of the warehouse team.
- Set standards and effective people performance targets.
- Identify training requirements and process changes using data-driven decisions.
- Ensure, manage, and monitor required staffing levels.
- Ensure abidance of government regulations including depot compliance, warehouse H&S, HAACP, food safety, and retaining AA BRC accreditation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills.
- Proficient in PC and systems literacy.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience with WMS systems.
- Proven ability to use data to drive decisions and allocate resources effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be proactive, use initiative, and deliver results.
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Flexible and committed team player.
- Professional approach and appearance, especially during customer visits.
- Experience in implementing continuous improvement
- Commercially astute with a track record in man management.
