Logistics Coordinator

Reed is currently recruiting on behalf of a company for a Logistics Coordinator to join their dynamic Operations team. In the role, you will play a pivotal role in managing operations and supporting the Operations Manager with critical data and communication. This role is essential in ensuring that our business adapts and thrives in challenging economic times by managing costs and enhancing operational efficiency.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Review Sales Order (S.O) data for active orders to identify any risks that may impact the supply and delivery of goods.
- Liaise with Purchasing, Sales, and Accounts to identify where the "risk" lies and advise Operations of any S.Os that are at risk.
- Support and facilitate Order Management meetings, working closely with Sales and Purchasing to identify issues in the supply of goods or products that may affect Sales order fill.
- Support the Operation in maintaining SLAs for On Time In Full (OTIF).
- Book in and communicate with external customers for the delivery of goods and install requirements to reduce delivery costs and the impact on re-delivery or remedial activities.
- Arrange and book in with 3rd Party hauliers for deliveries to customers.
- Create associated Purchase Orders to maintain accurate cost capture.
- Ensure that all Proof of Delivery (POD) information and sign-off of all 3rd Party activities are captured.
- Utilize the NetSuite system to enable a single point of reference for all activities for a S.O / P.O data capture and POD referencing.
- Support the Operations Manager in cost management of deliveries by own Fitters and 3rd Parties.
- Ensure that all costs are captured in NetSuite relevant to the SO or PO.
- Order fill management of pick sheets, confirming orders picked as per pick schedule both systemically and physically.
- Generate delivery notes along with any specific documents relative to the delivery and/or install.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working as a logistics coordinator
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Cost analysis skills to help reduce costs associated with the role.
