Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer ready to step into a leadership role Our client, a top-tier multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong national and international presence, is looking for an ambitious Associate Mechanical Engineer to join their growing Oxford team.

About the Role:

In this role, you’ll take the lead on the mechanical design and delivery of a wide variety of building services projects across sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, science & technology, and heritage. You’ll work closely with clients, guide project teams, and help drive innovation and sustainability in every design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design across all RIBA stages

  • Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams

  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff

  • Attend client and design team meetings, offering strategic input

  • Deliver high-quality, compliant designs on time and within budget

  • Promote sustainable design practices and net zero principles

About You:

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • Chartered Engineer or working towards CEng (IMechE or CIBSE)

  • Significant experience within a building services consultancy

  • Deep knowledge of HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, and public health systems

  • Proficient in software such as Revit, IES, Hevacomp, or similar

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
