Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to take on more responsibility and work on innovative, sustainable projects Our client, a respected multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their established building services team in Oxford.

About the Role:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions across a variety of sectors, including commercial, education, healthcare, science & tech, and heritage. You’ll play a key role in project delivery, team collaboration, and client communication while supporting junior staff and contributing to the company’s reputation for engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design packages from concept through to completion

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various RIBA stages

  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal technical development

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and sustainability standards

  • Produce technical drawings, calculations, and specifications

About You:

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services

  • Working towards or already achieved CEng (IMechE or CIBSE)

  • Solid experience in building services consultancy

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and public health systems

  • Proficient with relevant software such as Hevacomp, IES, Revit, and AutoCAD

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
