Reed Food & FMCG are currently recruiting for a Quality Systems Coordinator to join a food manufacturing company in Oxfordshire.
In this role you will oversee all audit activities, both internal and external, ensuring the factory's processes, procedures, and standards are not only adhered to but optimised. This role is crucial in leading customer audits, driving a quality culture on-site, and maintaining compliance with our Quality Manual. You will be instrumental in providing technical support to meet food safety, quality, and GMP standards and driving continuous improvement across all factory departments.
Day-to-day of the role:- Lead and coordinate all onsite certification and customer audits, ensuring smooth execution from scheduling to closing out actions.
- Conduct pre-audit inspections and communicate previous non-conformance areas to all departments.
- Stay updated with changes to customer codes of practice/standards and integrate these into the site Quality Management System.
- Maintain and represent our integrated management control and reporting system, focusing on food safety risk assessments, customer aspirations, and product quality.
- Act as a super user for our ERP system (TROPOS).
- Foster a strong culture of continuous improvement through GMP, designing and maintaining relevant KPIs to drive high standards and ensure corrective and preventive actions are verified.
- Design and maintain internal auditing and environmental monitoring in alignment with the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to investigate non-conformances, assist in problem-solving, and promote sustainable solutions.
- Lead and motivate the QA team in completing audits against Quality Management Systems, GMP, and HACCP controls.
- Manage and coordinate relevant stock movements on the ERP system and ensure accurate completion of export documentation.
- Internal auditing qualification.
- Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP, level 2 as a minimum.
- Excellent communication skills for professional liaison with internal and external customers.
- Influencing and negotiation skills to promote a ‘right first time’ approach.
- Determination to see tasks through to completion and challenge barriers.
