Buyer

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Procurement & Supply Chain department, within the Industrial / Manufacturing industry, based in Bicester. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively dealing with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure smooth running of the Manufacturing process.

Description

• Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage contract agreements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their procurement needs.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery expectations are met.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimise cost-efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Forecast future supply needs to avoid any potential disruption.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise in the procurement process.

Profile

A successful Buyer should have:

• Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
• Proficiency in relevant software and IT systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
