Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are recruiting for our client based in Shrewsbury for multiple Insurance Accounts Administrator (s) on a temporary to permanent basis.

The perfect role for experienced an accounts administrator ready to hit the ground running.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (35 hours per week)

Salary

£15.11 per hour 

Description and key responsibilities as an Accounts Administrator:

 

  • Ensure accuracy of internal accounting records for insurers are kept up to date.
  • Reconcile the accounts from the monies being paid by the Insured and then settling the Insurers accounts/invoices on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely recording of all accounting entries and the speedy resolution of any identified errors.
  • To contribute to the overall success of the company by ensuring that the working environment is kept functioning at a high standard within budget constraints.
  • Ensure all relevant business activities fully comply with FCA regulation and company procedures.  Use checklists and support documentation as provided by the company to assist with demonstrating compliance.
  • Knowledge and understanding of FCA rules and guidelines are kept up to date.
  • Full understanding of all company policies and procedures relating to role is maintained.
  • A thorough knowledge of the company’s accounting systems and procedures.
  • A thorough understanding of book-keeping practices and of the banking process.

 

Qualifications and skills required as an Accounts Administrator:

  • Previous experience within an accounts administration role
  • Knowledge in insurance accounts (desirable)
  • Accurate data input skills
  • SSP input knowledge
  • Acturist knowledge
  • Full knowledge of company operating systems linked to your role
  • MS word
  • MS Outlook
  • Excel
