Junior CAD Designer
Location: BiggleswadeSalary: £34,000Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting on behalf of a renowned manufacturing client specialising in the production of highly specialised products. They are seeking a Junior CAD Design Draughtsperson to join their dynamic team in Biggleswade. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring CAD designer with a background in mechanical design to grow their career and contribute to innovative, industry-leading projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use SolidWorks 2021 and AutoCAD LT 2023 software to create 2D/3D layouts, structures, and mechanisms used in specialised products.
- Develop accurate technical drawings, models, and designs, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and senior designers to create innovative solutions that meet project requirements.
- Revise and update designs based on client feedback and evolving project needs.
- Ensure designs consider engineering materials, manufacturing processes, and machining techniques.
- Interpret and work from architectural and engineering drawings with precision.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD modelling and detailing software, preferably with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Background in mechanical design with a solid understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing, and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Proficient in MS Windows and MS Office Suite.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Team-oriented with the capability to bring original thought and problem-solving skills to the table.
