Role: Electrical Wireman Reporting To: Electrical Chargehand

Job Description:
Your job is primarily to assist the Electrical Charge hand in the
electrical assembly of control boxes and machinery. This is a
factory based role.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Control Box Assembly
o Reading mechanical layout drawings.
o Reading electrical wiring diagrams.
o Use of factory tools - disc cutters, pillar drills, DIN
cutters, studguns etc.
o Laying out and assembling back-plates to
drawings.
o Laying out and drilling enclosures, gland plates
etc.

Machinery Assembly
o Reading mechanical layout drawings.
o Reading electrical wiring diagrams.
o Reading cable schedules.
o Use of factory tools - disc cutters, pillar drills, DIN
cutters, studguns etc.
o Installing SY, CY, YY cable on machinery.
o Assembling multipin plug socket assemblies.
o Manufacturing flying leads for machinery.
General
o Providing electrical assembly support and advice
to our in-house manufacture and project
engineers
o General quality control / improvement
o Keeping your bench tidy and your workload up to
date

Qualifications:
Electrical Qualifications/knowledge would be an advantage.
18th Edition would be an advantage,
Previous experience in an electrical role required.

Qualities/Skills: Attention to detail, accurate and efficient with strong problem
solving, communication and time management skills.
Experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience manufacturing control panels and assemblies.
Experience reading wiring diagrams, cable schedules.
Broad general knowledge of electrical components.
Own tools required (wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers etc.).
