We have partnered with an exciting global leading manufacturing organisation, who are looking to appoint a Safety, Health and Environment Manager at this large site in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. As the Safety, Health and Environment Manager you will be accountable for driving change and developing the safety culture.

The site has a large complex engineering workshop and yard, they are seeking candidates who are hands-on and want to be out engaging on the shop floor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation, who have a strong name in its field and is looking to appoint an engaging and proactive individual, to take really HSE to the next level.

The Safety, Health and Environment Manager will be responsible for:

- You will drive cultural change, bringing HSE to the forefront
- Coaching, managing and developing senior stakeholders will be essential, for you to drive change and enable individuals and the business to be more proactive
- Manage the control of contractors on site - ensuring RAMS and PTW are reviewed and completed by the relevant departments.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Development and monitoring of ISO management systems

The Safety, Health and Environment Manager candidate will have:

- Candidates must have experience working within an engineering, plant/heavy machinery, construction, agricultural environment
- NEBOSH certificate or equivalent and ideally membership of a relevant professional body (i.e. IOSH)
- IEMA Qualification or working towards is advantageous
- Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Proven leadership skills - the ability to engage at all levels is vital
