Purchasing Administrator
Location: Biggleswade, SG18 8QB
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, pro rata, DOE
Contract: Part time, Permanent
Hours: 20 - 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (ideally across 4 or 5 days).

We are Endoline Machinery Ltd, a UK based manufacturer of end of line packaging machinery including case erectors, loaders, sealers and conveyors.
We specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of high quality end of line packaging machinery.
For over 40 years, Endoline's business has developed from designing and manufacturing small case taping machines to its position today as a leading UK manufacturer and worldwide supplier of end-of-line packaging machines and systems.
We are now recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator to provide essential administrative support to the purchasing department by coordinating the ordering process of all machine parts and spare parts for our machines.
You will assume responsibility for assisting with the management of stock holdings, ensuring that they are accurately entered and tracked in our ERP system, as well as helping us to manage stock efficiently and meet customer project timelines.
In addition to this as our Purchasing Administrator you will be responsible for:
- Generating purchase orders for spare, service and machine parts.
- Chasing up late deliveries.
- Understanding, reviewing and optimising the ongoing machine part costs.
- Developing and maintaining a robust framework for stock control.
- Researching and purchasing materials and components from suppliers.
- Researching and growing current supplier list.
- Implementing bulk buying of standard machine parts.
- Arranging delivery dates with suppliers and keeping projects team updated.
- Assisting the stores department with the control of stock and parts.
- Improving processes and systems for effective procurement across the Company.
- Updating the Sales Office on progress of spares and service spares.
In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:
- Previous experience working in a purchasing office is ideal but not essential
- Experience of stock control would be advantageous
- Confident communication skills, able to speak to suppliers, customers and internal departments on a daily basis
- Strong IT skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visual and ideally working knowledge of an ERP system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- An enthusiasm for engineering
- Professional, presentable and outgoing, with a positive attitude
- The ability to negotiate with suppliers
- Organised and able to prioritise workload to deal with multiple project requirements
