Maintenance Manager - Build to Rent

We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a rapidly growing Build to Rent developer based in Essex. You will oversee maintenance operations across a portfolio in the South of England, ensuring properties are maintained to the highest standards and voids are turned around efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate contractors to deliver high-quality maintenance and refurbishment works
  • Ensure all repairs and void works are completed on time, within budget, and to regulatory standards
  • Oversee compliance with Health & Safety, NHBC/LABC standards, and industry regulations
  • Conduct pre- and post-works inspections, ensuring quality control and addressing defects
  • Drive efficiency, service improvements, and cost-effective solutions
  • Lead and support maintenance teams across multiple sites

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in maintenance management within residential property, ideally Build to Rent or social housing
  • Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, NHBC/LABC standards, and Health & Safety compliance
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management abilities
