The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position is available with a leading Blue Chip Manufacturing firm in Basildon.
The role offers a salary of £58,500 per annum and includes a KPI bonus along with overtime pay at 1.5 and 2x rates.
Candidates are expected to have a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and a high degree of Health & Safety awareness.
Responsibilities include providing maintenance services, supporting machine set-up and changeovers, and ensuring production targets are met.
This role is suitable for individuals with experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, or similar positions.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer include:

Providing plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained - maintaining factory manufacturing machinery
Monitor & supply Engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible.

Experience and Qualifications Required for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent, e.g. NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or above - Mechanical or Electrical
High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.
