Paisley Site Services areseeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our client'steam in Billingham. This role is perfect for someone with excellent customer service skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and an interest in mechanics or engineering. You will be responsible for handling parts inquiries, processing orders, maintaining stock records, and assisting with manual handling of parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, suppliers, and internal teams regarding parts availability and orders.
  • Accurately process purchase orders, invoices, and payments, ensuring accuracy in the purchase ledger.
  • Assist in auditing stock levels, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring correct inventory management.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications to maintain records, track orders, and generate reports.
  • Apply basic maths and English skills to process transactions, complete paperwork, and communicate effectively.
  • Handle and move stock manually, ensuring all parts are stored and managed safely.
  • Support mechanics and engineers by ensuring the right parts are available when needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with purchase ledger processes and auditing stock records (preferred but not essential).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Basic maths and English skills for handling invoices, orders, and customer communications.
  • An interest in mechanics or engineering to understand parts and their applications.
  • Ability to carry out manual labour, including lifting and moving stock.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Driving License is essential.
