We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Home Manager to oversee the operations of a 30+-bedded care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective management of staff and resources. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a passion for delivering exceptional care to residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Ensure the effective day-to-day running of the nursing home, maintaining high standards of care and service.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and other relevant healthcare standards.

  • Clinical Oversight: Work closely with nursing and care staff to ensure residents receive person-centered care.

  • Staff Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of care professionals, ensuring adequate staffing levels, training, and development.

  • Financial Management: Oversee budgets, control costs, and ensure financial sustainability of the home.

  • Resident Well-being: Foster a positive and caring environment, ensuring residents' dignity, independence, and well-being are prioritized.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external agencies to maintain a good reputation and service quality.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and improve service delivery, responding to feedback and implementing necessary improvements.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Registered Manager's Award (or equivalent) and a nursing qualification (desirable but not essential).

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Nursing Home Manager or Deputy Manager in a similar setting.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management capabilities with a focus on team development.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in elderly care.

  • Financial Acumen: Experience in budget management and financial planning for care services.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
