Works Engineer
Wolverhampton (WV14)

ROLE INFORMATION:
Reporting directly to the works manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and the smooth operation of a bespoke plastics ingredients company

Main Duties will include
  • Repair and maintenance of all our tools, production equipment and machinery.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance and ordering replacement parts.
  • Keeping maintenance records on all work carried out.
  • Arrange any necessary starting up/shutting down procedures of machinery and security of premises.
  • Install and commission new equipment as required.
  • Regular quality checks on equipment.
  • Respond to emergencies, unplanned issues, and repairs.
  • Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are being adhered to.
  • Effective management and prioritisation of your workload.
  • Carry out minor repairs to building fittings and structure.
Salary & benefits:
£38k per annum
(Salary depends on qualifications & experience)
Hours of work Mon to Fri 07:00 to 16:00 (1 hour lunch)

YOU WILL NEED TO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:-

  • Min 3 years practical experience in a production environment.
  • Min 3 years experience demonstrating electrical & mechanical repairs
  • Good diagnostic skills with an ability to read & understand schematic diagrams
  • Team Working skills to work cooperatively and consult with people at all levels
