Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team at our small, friendly care home in Birkenhead. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the highest standard of care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the nursing team, ensuring all staff provide high-quality care to residents. - Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of residents. - Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards. - Conduct regular staff training and performance reviews. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all residents. - Work closely with other healthcare professionals, families, and residents to ensure comprehensive care. - Handle any issues or emergencies that arise in a professional and efficient manner. - Oversee the administration of medications and treatments. - Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents and staff. - Participate in budget management and resource allocation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid NMC PIN. - Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. - Strong leadership and organizational skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations. - In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices. - Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents. - Proficiency in electronic health records and basic computer skills.
