Your new company
Hays Education Wirral are supporting a primary school based on the Wirral to appoint a SENDCO to take on leadership for their whole school SEND provision.

Starting asap, this role is fixed term for the remainder of the academic year originally.

Your new role
The successful SENDCO will work closely with school leaders to ensure high-quality SEND provision across the school. You will play a pivotal role in engaging, enabling, and empowering students. You will collaborate with colleagues, families and outside agencies to ensure their needs are effectively supported so they can reach their potential.
A key responsibility for this SENCO job is fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and best practice. You will provide guidance and training for staff on SEND matters and ensure policies are effective and are carried out.
What you'll need to succeed
To be appointed to this SENDCO job you will need:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in a leadership role within SEND or safeguarding.
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
