The nursing home, situated in theWirral, is purpose-built and designed to offer a warm, safe, and nurturing environment. The home has an excellent local reputation for its high care standards and its strong relationships with families and the community.


The Opportunity
I am looking for an experiencedCare Home Manageron behalf of my client to manage a medium-sized nursing home in Wirral. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic leader with a proven track record in dementia and nursing care. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a dedicated team to maintain and enhance the quality of care provided to residents.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of skilled healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Foster a supportive, positive working environment to encourage staff motivation, professional growth, and high morale.
  • Ensure effective communication between staff, residents, and their families, building a cohesive and collaborative environment.


Care Quality and Compliance:

  • Ensure the home consistently meetsCQCstandards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Regularly review care plans to ensure they meet the evolving needs of residents.
  • Conduct audits and implement quality improvement initiatives to maintain the highest standards of care.


Operational Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Manage the homes budget, ensuring effective resource management, staffing, and maintenance.
  • Ensure the home is maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.


Resident and Family Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families, ensuring their concerns and needs are addressed promptly and empathetically.
  • Oversee activities and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents.


Business Development:

  • Promote the home within the local community and build positive relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Ensure high occupancy levels through effective marketing and relationship management.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as aCare Home Manageror in a similar leadership role within the care sector.
  • Strong expertise indementia care, nursing, and residential care.
  • Registered Manager's Award (RMA)orNVQ Level 5in Health and Social Care Management (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding ofCQCregulations and standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets.
