Overview

Mitchell Adam are excited to represent one of the most prestigious organisations in Birmingham, who are looking to bring on a talented and aspirational Assistant Management Accountant into their Central Birmingham branch. The organisation has been a pioneer of their industry for a number of years, and they have recently gone through an impressive period of growth. In this Assistant Management Accountant role, you will be working directly under a Senior Finance Manager and a Management Accountant. Both of these individuals have an aim to try and improve your experience in this position and to improve your ability. Your initial responsibilities will see you shadowing the Management Accountant, posting journals such as accruals and prepayments and completing reconciliations on both the bank and balance sheet. You will also gain responsibilities such as working on the P&L, conducting detailed variance analysis and being involved with the budgeting and forecasting process. Skills Required
  • To be ambitious. This organisation provides a fantastic platform for an ambitious individual to showcase their abilities and take on senior responsibilities. It takes an individual with a positive work ethic to achieve these goals.
  • To either have already started studying for your ACCA or CIMA qualifications, or to have strong aspirations to start one of these qualifications.
  • To have experience posting journals, completing reconciliations and to be confident with producing reports on Microsoft Excel.
  • To be confident and to be able to communicate effectively. This role requires an individual who can express themselves and be efficient in their communication style. As there will be lots of interactions with stakeholders from varying levels of seniority.
