Location: Redditch (Hybrid)

Are you a qualified accountant that is committed to excellence and financial integrity. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a growing business. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and supporting financial decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse financial data and contribute to the company's overall financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a regular basis.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and preparing financial reports.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial data, variance analysis, and recommendations to management.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

The Successful Applicant:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This role would ideally suit a 1st time mover from practice coming from a Top 10 accountancy firm.
