?? Location: Birmingham?? Position: Financial Accountant?? Full-Time, Permanent?? Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial records through reconciliation and financial accounting activities.
- Prepare timely and robust financial statements and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Support the production of subsidiary accounts and contribute to year-end statutory reporting.
- Mentor and coach junior members of the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and drive operational efficiency.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial controls and reporting frameworks.
- Ensure all financial processes are documented and kept up to date.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong background in financial accounting and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You should have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
