Group Financial Accountant 
  • Annual Salary: £45k - £50k plus bonuses
  • Location: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days at home after probation)

Our exciting client is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join their team in a newly created Chief Financial Accountant position. This role could be ideal for someone with a practice background looking to transition into a dynamic corporate environment.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in month-end processes and provide essential financial insights to support strategic business decisions. The position offers a competitive total package, flexible working options, and a supportive team environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct group consolidation as part of the month-end process.
  • Prepare board reports and management reporting packs, including various KPI analyses.
  • Complete month-end reconciliations for debtors, creditors, bank accounts, intercompany accounts, etc.
  • Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for the annual external audit.
  • Manage annual statutory financial reporting.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly tax returns.
  • Respond to financial inquiries from within the organisation and externally.
  • Complete business surveys and handle ad hoc duties to support the team.

To be successful, you will: 

  • Be qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred).
  • Relevant working experience 
  • Have proficient knowledge of UK financial reporting standards.
  • Offer strong analytical skills with the ability to review and analyse financial data.
  • Have advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Have excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Post qualification experience is not essential but beneficial.
