Group Financial Accountant

Annual Salary: £45k - £50k plus bonuses
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days at home after probation)
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (4 days a week)

Our exciting client is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join their team in a newly created Chief Financial Accountant position. This role could be ideal for someone with a practice background looking to transition into a dynamic corporate environment.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in month-end processes and provide essential financial insights to support strategic business decisions. The position offers a competitive total package, flexible working options, and a supportive team environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

Conduct group consolidation as part of the month-end process.
Prepare board reports and management reporting packs, including various KPI analyses.
Complete month-end reconciliations for debtors, creditors, bank accounts, intercompany accounts, etc.
Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
Serve as a key point of contact for the annual external audit.
Manage annual statutory financial reporting.
Complete monthly and quarterly tax returns.
Respond to financial inquiries from within the organisation and externally.
Complete business surveys and handle ad hoc duties to support the team.

To be successful, you will:

Be qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred).
Relevant working experience

Have proficient knowledge of UK financial reporting standards.
Offer strong analytical skills with the ability to review and analyse financial data.
Have advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Have excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Post qualification experience is not essential but beneficial.
