Our exciting client is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join their team in a newly created Chief Financial Accountant position. This role could be ideal for someone with a practice background looking to transition into a dynamic corporate environment.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in month-end processes and provide essential financial insights to support strategic business decisions. The position offers a competitive total package, flexible working options, and a supportive team environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct group consolidation as part of the month-end process.
- Prepare board reports and management reporting packs, including various KPI analyses.
- Complete month-end reconciliations for debtors, creditors, bank accounts, intercompany accounts, etc.
- Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
- Serve as a key point of contact for the annual external audit.
- Manage annual statutory financial reporting.
- Complete monthly and quarterly tax returns.
- Respond to financial inquiries from within the organisation and externally.
- Complete business surveys and handle ad hoc duties to support the team.
To be successful, you will:
- Be qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or ACCA preferred).
- Relevant working experience
- Have proficient knowledge of UK financial reporting standards.
- Offer strong analytical skills with the ability to review and analyse financial data.
- Have advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Have excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Post qualification experience is not essential but beneficial.
