An established organisation in the retail sector have recently approached Mitchell Adam for assistance with their recruitment for a talented Assistant Management Accountant. This organisation has continued to develop over the last decade and has been one of the success stories in their industry. They're looking to expand their finance function and are hoping to bring on an ambitious individual with aims to go far into their studies. As an Assistant Management Accountant, the role has a clear pathway for the successful candidate to become a Management Accountant. As you progress with your studies in this role and as you gain more experience in your tasks, you will be given opportunities to take on new duties, and the Finance Manager will be on hand to ensure your development and training is consistent, and not to rush you into senior duties until you are confident in your tasks. In this role you will be assisting your colleagues with the production of monthly management accounts, including the hands-on responsibilities of working on the P&L and Balance Sheet and the posting of journals such as accruals and prepayments.
Skills Required- To be ambitious and driven, as this role does has some fantastic progression opportunities, which will only be taken by an individual who is keen to learn and develop their skills.
- To be confident and self-assured, as in this role you will at times have autonomy in your tasks and responsibilities.
- To be either currently studying your ACCA or CIMA, or to have strong intentions to begin your studies.
- To have experience with posting journals and completing reconciliations, and to ideally have exposure to working on the P&L and reporting responsibilities.
