We are exclusively working with our client, a fast-growing SME experiencing exponential growth through M&A as well as organic expansion. They are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage critical financial processes, ensure accurate reporting, and contribute to a thriving business environment that rewards innovation and hard work.

?? Location: Birmingham?? Position: Financial Accountant?? Working Arrangement: Permanent, Hybrid (2 days on-site)?? Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:
  • Prepare monthly cash flow analysis and conduct variance reviews against model forecasts.
  • Review all balance sheet items monthly, ensuring supporting documentation and notes for management accounts are complete and accurate.
  • Manage deferred income releases and consortia accounts.
  • Conduct initial reviews of monthly P&L and balance sheet, adding review points for further analysis.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure payments align with project agreements.
  • Reconcile and review intercompany balances, preparing intercompany matrices.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of IFRS/FRS 102 calculations and ensure timely posting of journals.
  • Update financial forecasts, including lifecycle costs and IFRS/FRS 102 adjustments.
  • Oversee mortgage and loan reconciliations, ensuring payment notices are accurate prior to bank transactions.
  • Review quarterly VAT returns, ensuring timely payments.
Key Essentials of the Financial Accountant:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with a minimum of 1 year PQE.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
