Job Opportunity: Group Financial Accountant SF Recruitment are exclusively working with a leading manufacturing business with a global presence, dedicated to delivering high-quality products that make a difference. Committed to innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement, our client is looking for a talented Group Financial Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations. Position: Group Financial Accountant Key Responsibilities In this key role, you will work closely with the Head of Financial Operations to ensure robust financial systems, reporting, and compliance across our global manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will include: - Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, group financial statements, and ensure accurate consolidation of financial data across multiple entities. - Audit & Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to financial controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. - Tax & Statutory Reporting: Oversee the preparation of corporation tax returns, capital allowances, VAT submissions, and statutory accounts for the group. - International Trade: Advise on customs and excise duties, tariffs, and trade agreements, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. - Process Improvement: Design and implement effective financial controls, driving continuous improvement in systems and processes. - Collaboration: Work with local finance teams, external auditors, and business partners to provide insights, challenge results, and ensure timely financial reporting. - Business Support: Provide technical expertise for key business projects, including acquisitions, business restructuring, and new ventures. What We're Looking For: - Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with experience in group reporting, statutory accounts, and financial operations in a manufacturing environment. - Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, group consolidation, tax regulations, and international trade. - Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial data, identify risks, and propose effective solutions. - Communication: Skilled at building relationships and explaining financial concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders. - Organisational Skills: Capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
