Role Overview:

Gleeson Recruitment Group are supporting a long term client of ours in their search for a experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month contract. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the year-end audit and ensuring accurate statutory accounts preparation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant with a strong background in audit and statutory reporting to contribute to their finance function and work within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and assist with the year-end audit process, coordinating with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with relevant financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate financial records and oversee month-end closing processes as required.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, maintaining a strong internal control environment.
Provide support to the finance team on ad hoc projects and financial reporting initiatives as needed.

Key Requirements:

Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
Experience: Proven experience in an audit-focused financial accounting role, with a strong background in statutory accounts preparation.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Working Arrangement:

This position offers hybrid working, 3 days on site in Birmingham and 2 days from home. They are looking for someone who is commutable from site and available to start mid November.
