SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a high growth service based business based in Birmingham in their search for a technically strong Financial Accountant This is a key hire into the team and requires a detail-oriented accountant with strong experience in VAT and indirect taxation. You will ideally be a fully qualified ACCA/ACA and be confident working in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and submit group VAT returns
- Monitor and interpret tax legislation, ensuring best practices are followed
- Liaise with HMRC and external auditors on VAT-related matters
- Assist in financial reporting, including month-end and year-end processes
- Produce analysis to contribute to tax packs
- Support the wider finance team with tax planning and risk mitigation
- Drive process improvements in VAT reporting and compliance
Requirements:
- Fully qualified ACCA/ACA
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with VAT, ideally within a large complex business
- Excellent communication skills
