Responsibilities of the Interim Financial Accountant

As an Interim Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. Your primary responsibilities include managing the annual statutory reporting process, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, analysing data, and providing insightful reports. You'll also collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, assist in budget preparation, and manage tax filings. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a significant impact.

  • Manage the annual statutory reporting and work with the auditors in compliance with the current reporting standards
  • Ensure that financial statements adhere to regulatory standards and accurately reflect the company's financial health
  • You will analyse financial data and provide insightful reports to aid decision making
  • Preparation of the VAT returns including partial exemptions calculations and oversee systems enhancements to facilitate digital tax transfer regulations are met.
  • You will assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes

What the successful candidate will bring

  • Professional accounting qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
  • SORP/charity accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and Financial Reporting
  • You possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • You have excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
  • You are proficient in MS Office and finance software
