Based on the outskirts of Birmingham, you will be reporting directly to the Management Accountant you'll play a crucial role in providing management information to the business. Responsibilities will include preparing and consolidating monthly accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of data, and communicating financial insights effectively to key stakeholders.

This Assistant Accountant position is a full time permanent opportunity that would suit someone either AAT Qualified or studying their ACCA or CIMA qualification.

Salary: Up to £36k per annum + Study Support + Hybrid Working.

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate budget reporting. You'll also be accountable for the preparation of accounts within specified deadlines, ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Additionally, you'll provide advice on spending implications, income and expenditure, prepare variance statements with insightful commentaries, and collaborate with key stakeholders. You will be pivotal in resolving queries.

Duties also include:

  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing budget and forecast information
  • Reviewing information
  • Interpreting and analysing data
  • Communicating findings and reporting
