    Remuneration: Up to £35k depending on experience, plus annual bonus and benefits

    Having experienced rapid expansion, the company is looking for an experienced and ambitious management accountant to support several of its operating companies and act as deputy to the Finance Manager.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the full spectrum of accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, bank reconciliations and the preparation of tax returns
  • Mentor and provide oversight and support to the accounts clerks
  • Analyse and investigate financial discrepancies
  • Provide financial advice and support to the business owners
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Candidate Requirements

    The right candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial principles within manufacturing organisations is desirable
  • Experience of Sage 200 and Sage 50 is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Based in Birmingham, our client is made up of 4 operating companies with a combined annual turnover of just under £10m. Its primary business is a leading distributor of metering solutions. It is supported by 2 manufacturing companies, a manufacturer of products for hazardous gas detection and fire protection, and a specialist in the manufacture of robust tank gauging systems for the marine and industrial market. The fourth company, manufactures components for the other companies and external customers. The companies are co-located and share operational resources.
